In the second phase of Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf intra-party elections, Abdul Aleem Khan and Abdul Rasheed Bhatti (Unity Group) have been elected as Lahore district president and general secretary, respectively, on Wednesday. While addressing a reception of Unity Group, PTI Lahore President Aleem Khan said the success of party elections in Lahore proved that the city only belonged to Imran Khan.
He observed that no other political party in the country had the courage to hold intra-party elections, as its leaders feared that their son and daughters would lose the elections from the party workers. "By holding the party elections, Imran Khan has empowered the party workers," he added. He urged the party workers of opponent political parties to stand up to their leaders and demand end to hereditary politics.
