At the inaugural of International Water Summit, held in tandem with the World Future Energy Summit at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from January 15-17, 2013, Pak Oasis exhibited a successful event, meeting with many potential clients from across the water and energy sectors.
Many visitors were impressed by the work Pak Oasis has achieved in all of its operations, the high quality of its products and the very economical costs that it has been able to deliver the water treatment plants for. One project, which was of enormous interest to delegates from a host of countries, was the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Drinking Water Programme.
This programme, initiated by the Government of Pakistan and being fulfilled by Pak Oasis, seeks to ensure that those living in rural areas of Sindh have the same access to their most basic of human rights as those living in towns and cities across the country.
This programme provides water free of cost to rural communities all across Sindh which has resulted in an economic boost for villagers who no longer have to pay huge sums for water and has resulted in a large reduction in illness too. This initiative was greatly received by the international community at the International Water Summit, especially by delegates from a number of African governments who felt that this visionary model could be replicated in their own communities to tackle similar problems of inadequate drinking water facilities.-PR
