The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) in its meeting on Saturday recommended seven new additional judges for Peshawar High Court (PHC). The Commission recommended confirmation of six Lahore High Court's additional judges and gave six-month extension to six judges of Lahore High Court including Justice Abdus Sami Khan, Justice Ayesha A Malik, Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Baqir Ali Najfi, Justice Shujaat Ali and Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi.
Sources said that with the exception of Hayat Ali Shah, seven names, including Afsar Ali Shah, Laal Jan Khatak, Ikram ullah Khan, Abdul Latif Khan, Miss Musarat Hilali, Saud Khan and Malik Manzoor Hassan, had been nominated as additional judges for PHC.
