The Rawalpindi Accountability Court on Saturday acquitted real estate tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz in a land fraud case. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed an application in the accountability court calling for Riaz and his son to be acquitted in a fraud case regarding 1,401 kanals of land. Accepting NAB's plea, the accountability court wrapped up the case and acquitted the two accused.
Riaz, speaking to media persons outside the court, said that he has forgiven all those involved in the case. Earlier, Riaz and his associates were booked by the Anti-Corruption Establishment in two FIRs on the charge of acquiring 1,401 kanals of land near Rawat on fake and forged documents in 2009.
