President Asif Ali Zardari has said that Pak-Iran gas pipeline will be inaugurated on March 11. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of three power generation projects including hydel project at the Governor House on Tuesday. He urged the international community to understand the problems of Pakistan, as this gas pipeline is very crucial for economic growth of the country.
He said the government has given a go-ahead to the project despite international oppositions and possibility of embargoes. He expressed the hope that the world at large would understand the point of view of Pakistan and it would let it to go with important project of gas pipeline.
President Zardari said Pakistan was on top of priority of the government and the global friends should understand that Pakistan is doing so in the larger interest of its economy and not for any other reason. Pakistan is not in opposition of anyone and no one should oppose it as well. He said Pakistan is all out for world peace while pursuing its economic wellbeing.
