Provincial Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that female students were dominating by showing their ability and securing top positions in education whereas the male students are on down trend in the province. Addressing a laptops distribution ceremony held at Government Murray College he said that adequate efforts were made during past five year for the promotion and expanding education in every nook and corner of the Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that special focus during the period was accorded on the removal of hurdles and discrimination, which were hindering the education sector aimed at ensuring equal opportunities to everyone. It was very unfortunate that education sector was totally ignored by the previous regimes as a result of which the education sector was not properly prospered, he said.
Shabaz Sharif further said during past 65 years the difference between rich and poor has been increased to many folds as a result of which the getting education become beyond the limit of the poor segment of the country. The Punjab Chief Minister said that in order to mitigate the miseries and to provide maximum facilities of education to the students we have initiated many revolutionary steps were taken in this regard. About two lakh laptops and two lakh solar panels were distributed among the shining students purely on merit across the Punjab besides laptops were also distributed among the students in other parts of the country Shahbaz said.
In order to facilitate the poor students we have established Danish schools which are functioning successfully across and poor students are getting modern education the province he pointed out. He said that due to the massive corruption no practical step has been taken for overcoming the energy crisis and the energy crisis deepen with every passing day as a result of the industrial and agriculture sector were facing serious hardships and productivity is at lowest ebb.
