The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) in collaboration with South Asian Federation of Exchange (Safe) organised second session of Campus Outreach Programme for the students of BBA (Hons.) from the Hailey College of Banking and Finance, University of the Punjab in which LSE officials interacted with the students.
Madiha Abrahim from Investor Relations Department LSE explained the financial products and services and opportunities available to investors in Pakistan and the roles and responsibilities being performed by various financial institutions. Madiha outlined the operational matters of the Exchanges including listings, trading, corporate governance, sensitivity of Stock Market and investor protection guideline.
Students were given an insight about various investment avenues available in the market and their role in the economic system of the country. She also highlighted the complex and board features of derivatives product (Futures, Options, Stock Index Futures) available in capital markets. She also informed the participants that the financial decision making starts from the teenage, therefore, the modification of spending habits of youngsters in order to promote the habits of savings and responsible financial behaviour is the need of the hour. At the end of the session a detailed question answer session was also conducted.
