Secretary Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, has said that Sindh government is making all out efforts for providing maximum opportunities to youth for the development of their skills and talents. He was speaking at a fun workshop organised by the Youth Affairs Department in Co-ordination with Habib University Foundation and Youth Empowerment Spaces (YES).
In the programme different schools and training centres being run by the non government organisations including Agha Khan Welfare Board, Imran Rehabilitation Centre participated. Youth belonging to these organisations presented their presentations on different issues.
Shoaib Siddiqui believes that special people are very talented and they needed to have equal opportunities to utilise their skills and talents so that they also can play their role in the progress of their country and strengthen society equally. He promised the participants that Sindh government would continue its efforts for boost up the skills of youth through various interventions for fulfilling their ambitious.
He appreciated the efforts of YES project team and Habib University Foundation (HUF) for organising an exclusive event and thanked all the participating institutions for making it success Siddiqui also distributed shields and certificates among the youths who made their presentations through different activities.
More than 200 youth witnessed the event. Youth also demonstrated their talents through stage performances and exhibiting creative art pieces through stalls. Total 54 special youth expressed their talents .songs, performing tableaus, reciting Quranic Suras and Naat and performing role plays. Director Monitoring, Youth Affairs Department Qamar Khan and Nooruding Merchant of Yes organisation, also spoke on this occasion.
