An International award for meritorious services in the field of tourism and aviation for the year 2012 has been conferred upon Chairman, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Standing Committee on Marketing, Salman Javed. The award was conferred in a ceremony recently held at College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM), Lahore.
He is also former honorary joint secretary general, South Asia Tourism Association and Vice-Chairman, Committee of Affiliate Members, United Nations World Tourism Organisation, besides being Chairman, Pacific Asia Travels Association Pakistan Chapter. He has represented Pakistan at over 40 international tourism events and conferences.
