The rupee showed no change against the dollar on the open market on Saturday in the process of slow trading, dealers said. The rupee held the overnight levels versus the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 99.00 and Rs 99.25, they said. While, the rupee gained 75 paisa in relation to the euro for buying and selling at Rs 129.25 and Rs 129.50, they added.
OPEN MARKET RATES: At the week-end, the dollar surged to its highest level in more than three years against the yen and a three-month peak versus the euro, bolstered by a report showing the US economy created more jobs than expected last month, pushing the unemployment rate to a four-year low. The greenback also posted its best weekly performance against the yen in two months. It also gained versus the euro for a fifth straight week.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee remained firm against the dollar on the open currency market of Lahore on Saturday.
The greenback opened at the overnight levels versus the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 99.20 and Rs 99.25 and closing was seen at the same levels, dealers said.
On the other hand, the British pound lost its worth against the local currency. Pound Sterling was purchased and sold at Rs 148.60 and Rs 148.75 as against Rs 149.60 and Rs 149.85 on Friday.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The buying and selling rates of dollar against the rupee remained unchanged at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Saturday.
The dollar opened at Rs 99.80 (buying) and Rs 99.90 (selling) against same overnight value. Buying/selling rates of dollar closed at the same rate by the end of trading session. Pound Sterling opened at Rs 154 (buying) and Rs 155 (selling) against same last rate. It closed at the same rate without further fluctuation by the end of the day.
