Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three alleged members of banned outfit, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and recovered huge quantity of explosive materials and other weapons. According to SSP Fayaz Khan, a CID team on a tip-off conducted raid in Mangopir area that led to the arrests of three alleged members of TTP after brief encounter.
The detained persons were identified as Shoaib Mehsud, Khalid Rehman Mehsud and Aurangzeb Mehsud. He also claimed to have recovered two live suicide jackets, two bombs, three hand grenades, a Kalashnikov, two pistols, detonators, ball bearings and detonating wire from their possession. He said these accused were also involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and other heinous crimes. Further investigation was underway.
