The Action Committee of Affectees of Hajj Quota Welfare Association Pakistan has urged the government to announce giving Hajj quota to all newly enrolled companies. The demand was made during a meeting of the action committee of the association held under the chairmanship of Abdul Manan Atarvi on Wednesday, The participant claimed that they can give improved service to Hajjis at a smaller amount than blue, white and green packages if they get quota.
The participants of the meeting expressed concern over delay in allotment of Hajj quota to newly enrolled companies. They mentioned that federal ministry for religious affairs have enrolled several new companies after collecting Rs 20,000 as enrolment fee from them.
However, no quote has been allocated to these recently register companies for Hajj. Whereas the old companies have been grant quote on the will of Federal Minister Khurshid Shah. Expressing concern over delay in allocation of quote for newly enrolled companies and asked why government had invited application for enrolment when it was not going to allot quote for new companies.
Representatives of new companies pointed out that this year Saudi Government has blacklisted 72 old companies on their poor performance whose 8700 quote government have and expressed fear that the minister may allot this quote to his own favourite companies. They further expressed that some of the new companies have flied a case in Lahore High Court which in its judgement directed to hold 5000 quote for new companies. However even after this judgement no quote has been allocated to any new company.
They urged the government to announce giving quote to new companies. The meeting was attended by Mohammad Ramadan Naqasbandi, Sahibzada Sajid Raza, Abdullah, Perviz Ali Khan, Mohammad Qadir , Rana Abdul Wahab, Abu Muzafarul Hasan, Mohammad Ikram , Aziz Ahmed, Mohammad Hasan etc.
