Kashf Foundation - Pakistan's premier microfinance institution that has been working in Pakistan since 1996, has provided Rs 440,000 worth of relief via an income transfer scheme for 44 families affected in the arson attack in Joseph Colony, Badami Bagh Lahore.
The Managing Director of Kashf Foundation, Ms Roshaneh Zafar distributed cash grants of Rs 10,000 each woman of the 44 households. The aim of the relief was to help the affected households with daily expenses and needs while they re-settled. Kashf Foundation's Chief Operating Officer Kamran Azim, Manager Human Resources Ms Zainab Saeed and Regional Manager Yasir Ijaz were also present at the ceremony.
According to the press statement issued on Friday Ms Roshaneh Zafar shared that Foundation had been working in the area for the past 13 years and specifically Joseph Colony for past 8 years and through these trying times Kashf Foundation will support the affected households. Moreover, she added that all Pakistanis have equal rights and that the State must ensure the safety and security of their lives and their property.
The residents of Joseph Colony are hard working and law abetting citizens, and attacks on them are condemned by all. The beneficiaries appreciated this step that was taken by Kashf Foundation and shared that they were committed to re-build their lives and businesses with the support of Kashf Foundation.
