All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) leadership is all set to interact with the Federal Secretaries on burning issues of the textile industry including market access, energy crisis and fiscal matters on March 18. The APTMA spokesman said three different delegations of APTMA leadership will engage the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), respectively.
Each meeting will be represented by over 20 members of APTMA along with the Convenors of the relevant Committees.
Central Chairman APTMA Ahsan Bashir will lead a delegation of APTMA members from all over the country to the FBR. The delegation will call on Chairman FBR to deliberate the problems on ground being faced by the APTMA members owing to tax relating issues.
Chairman APTMA Punjab Shahzad Ali Khan will lead another delegation of APTMA members from all the three zones to call on Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources to discuss the energy issues of the industry.
Similarly, Amir Fayyaz Sheikh, Convenor of APTMA Committee on International Trade, will lead a delegation to the Ministry of Commerce to interact with the issues pertaining to market access to the textile products world over. The Committee will call on the Secretary Commerce to share the APTMA initiatives on how Pakistan can deal with image problem in the world and where the government can extend a helping hand to it for speedy proceedings.
All the three meetings will take place on March 18 and a good number of APTMA members from the three zones will reach Islamabad to join the APTMA leadership on important meetings with the Federal Government functionaries.
