Google has made it even easier for users to find the things they want in the real world. The web software giant has issued an update to its iPhone map app that allows you to touch a series of buttons below the search area to specify what you are looking for.
Four of the buttons allow you to specify restaurants, cafes, bars and petrol stations in your search, while a fifth button offers a menu of other options including hotels, hospitals and ATMs.
"So if you're in a rush and need a quick coffee, just tap the search box, then the coffee cup icon, to see the cafes closest to you," Google said in a blog post.
The new update also makes it possible for users to choose between miles and kilometres in the settings menu and to look up their friends' addresses by typing their names in the search box. If users have saved their friends' addresses in Google Contacts, the app will show them in the search results.
