Punjab University (PU) Hailey College of Banking and Finance students namely Hafiz Shahrukh Tariq of BBA Hons and Hassan Obaid of MBA have earned two Guinness World Record by contesting in Guinness World Records Competitions organised by Chief Minister Punjab Youth Festival 2013 in Hockey (Passing & Dribbling).
College Principal Professor Dr Khawaja Amjad Saeed has said in a press statement that it was indeed a great success of PU students and their endeavours of success will certainly help in uplifting the image of the university in general and beloved country Pakistan in particular. PU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has also congratulated students on this achievement.
While University of Lyon, France's Professor Emeritus Dr Michael O'Dea has paid a visit to Punjab University's Department of French. Chairperson Professor Dr Saleha Nazeer, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Dr O'Dea praised and congratulated the French department's faculty and students for the quality work in French language and hailed the warm welcome. Dr O'Dea also gave a lecture on "Optimism and the Period of Enlightenment".
