Normalisation of ties: Pakistan backs steps taken by Kosovo‚ Serbia

At the UN Security Council‚ Pakistan voiced support for the recent steps taken by Kosovo and Serbia to normalise relations. The acting Pakistan permanent representative to the United Nations‚ Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar in a speech at the Security Council said reconciliation would require sincere efforts of the leaderships on both sides.
Ambassador Tarar said Pakistan encouraged by the commitment of Pristina and Belgrade to dialogue‚ which is the best route to normalising relations and arriving at mutually-agreed upon conclusions. He hoped that the upcoming round of talks would lead to a comprehensive solution.
