Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has urged its customers to adopt all precautionary measures to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for their own safety so that precious human lives and property could be secured during the current torrential rains.
These safety measures include, to properly "earthen" your electrical appliances and replace or tape all worn out wires and not to touch electrical appliances / cables with wet hands. The customers are also requested to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps and other electrical appliances. Furthermore, they are requested not to tie their pets and cattle with the poles and towers.
Similarly, women have been especially urged for avoiding the usage of metal wires for drying of clothes and not to touch the washing machine with wet hands without switching it off and keeping of mate under their feet while pressing the clothes.
It said life is very precious gift of Allah Almighty it is our primary duty to secure lives of the people. The people have been requested to inform and report the concerned Pesco offices in case of any damaged cable or damaged pole immediately.
