The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that Pervez Musharraf has the constitutional right to return to Pakistan and participate in political activities.
In a statement, Altaf said that the federal and provincial government is responsible to provide Musharraf with security, adding that he was granted protected bail ahead of his return. Therefore, there was no question of his arrest.
He said that MQM has neither ordered nor barred anyone from welcoming former president on his arrival.
