The Supreme Court on Monday was urged to place former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf's name on Exit Control List (ECL). Khateeb Lal Masjid, Maulana Abdul Aziz filed a petition through Advocate Tariq Asad under order XXXIII Rule 6 of the Supreme Court and made Federal government and Ministry of Interior as respondents.
The petitioner contended that statement of Pervez Musharraf should be recorded by the Judicial Commission appointed on Lal Masjid killings. He further pleaded that Judicial Commission had summoned former President four times but he never replied, adding that the Commission had already obtained the statements of some 400 witnesses relating directly or indirectly to the incident.
