Unknown miscreants blew up gas pipeline with explosive material disrupting supply to various areas of Karachi on Tuesday. According to the details, unidentified militants planted explosives with 18-inch diameter gas pipeline in Kopat area of district Dera Bugti of Balochistan. Due to explosion gas supply to parts of Karachi is disrupted.
It should be mentioned that according to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) sources said pipeline has been targeted third time during last one and a half weeks. The SSGCL officials said that after clearance of security agencies repair work on the damaged pipeline has been initiated and all resources and efforts are being utilised to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to Sindh and Balochistan provinces.
