As many as 200 aspirants filed their nomination papers for six seats of NA and 13 seats of Provincial Assembly in the city. Though main parties including Pakistan People's Party, Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf have finalised most of their candidates in Multan, yet a large number of aspiring candidates are confident to secure party tickets.
According to sources, four PML-N candidates including Rana Mahmoodul Hassan, Tariq Rasheed, Chaudhry Abdul Waheed Araein and Mian Amir Saeed Ansari have been given green signal to take part in the election.
