Pakistan People Party's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will unveil its economic policy within two days. The party has so for nominated 86 candidates for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 12 for tribal region, as it received a record application for next elections, said Anwar Saifullah Khan, while talking to media persons, after inauguration of party media cell for next elections here on Saturday.
He further informed that more than 27 candidates had been nominated for National Assembly seats from KP, while consultation was going on rest of seats, which would be announced very soon. The PPP provincial president said his party would fully participate in next election, saying they would not deter from any threats. He added the party would actively organise political processions, gathering and meetings without any fear and scare. There were some forces trying to delay elections to sabotage democratic process in the country, he remarked, adding that elections would be held at per scheduled time.
He recalled that PPP had rendered numerous sacrifices and fought against anti-democratic forces during last five its five year constitutional period. He viewed that Pakhtuns were being faced with difficulty situation, but his party always taken steps for resolution of their issues. PPP provincial president reiterated that his party would solely contest next general election in KP, adding they would only opt to seat-to-seat adjustment. For this purpose, he informed, a four zonal committees had been constituted.
He further said the party had empowered president at district level, to make seat-to-seat adjustment in their respective constituencies with other political parties. Saifullah Khan informed the PPP had contacted with Qaumi Watan Party, while Jamaat-i-Islami and Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam would also approach for seat-to-seat adjustment in KP. He claimed his party would gain overwhelming victory in next elections.
