Taiwan stocks ended 0.24 percent lower on Monday, with banks among the biggest losers as investors turned cautious ahead of a meeting between China and Taiwan regulators on further opening banking markets to each other. The main TAIEX index slipped 19.37 points to 7,899.24, after opening up 0.2 percent. Financial shares shed 1 percent, while electronics shares edged down 0.1 percent. The Taiwan dollar eased T$0.005 to stand at T$29.880 to the US dollar.
