Pakistan Seraiki Party (PSP) chief Barrister Taj Muhammad Khan Langah, 72, died of cardiac arrest on Sunday morning. Langah was an icon of south Punjab and the entire Seraiki belt. He has been active for the formation of the separate province for the Seraikis.
He was once associated with Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and remained its provincial deputy secretary general. President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief over the death of Langah and said his pro-people struggle would be long remembered. Ex-Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that it was shocking news for him that a champion of Seraiki movement has passed away. He had devoted his life for the cause of Seraiki province. He had started his political career as an activist of PPP and he travelled with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
