Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel visited Nadra Headquarter on Tuesday. Chairman Nadra Tariq Malik briefed the Minister by demonstrating e-voting system for Overseas Pakistanis.
During his presentation, Chairman Nadra informed the Minister that its solution is secure and technically ready to be deployed subjected to the final approval of Election Commission of Pakistan. He appraised the Minister that Nadra is presenting solution to ECP and Attorney General on Tuesday.
Minister for Overseas Pakistanis showed his keen interest in extending e-Voting facility for Overseas Pakistanis. He appreciated Nadra's unflinching efforts in preparing transparent and most credible software well in time.
Kakakhel committed that Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis is willing and ready to work on all administrative deliverables. He said Ministry's top priority is to protect rights of overseas citizens living abroad. In order to give right of voting to the overseas Pakistanis the Ministry will immediately act in this regard as soon as directions from ECP or SC are issued, he added.-PR
