Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) have finalised adjustment on almost 90-per cent seats. The PML will fully support Qamaruzzaman Kaira on NA-106 and Tanvir Ashraf Kaira on PP-112 and Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmad of Ranian on PP-113 from Gujrat, sources in the PML said. PML senior central leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that President Asif Ali Zardari is an expert on forming and running of alliances whereas Nawaz Sharif lacks this art.
PPP central leader Qamaruzzaman Kaira said that Chaudhry Brothers have a big hand in ending politics of hatred and the People's Party has completed its five years tenure because of Pakistan Muslim League. According to information, in the meeting for seat adjustment, PML was represented by Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain and Mian Imran Masood while PPP side was comprised of by Qamaruzzaman Kaira, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Moeen Kaira, Zia Mohyuddin, Muhammad Sharif, Mehdi Khan and other leaders.
Parvez Elahi said that PML and PPP had formed the alliance at a time when the country was facing political crises. He said objective of our alliance was to save PPP from being blackmailed and improving national circumstances. Till now both parties are together and have decided to fully support each other in the general elections also, he added.
Continuing, Elahi said that we are sincere people, our politics is neither against anyone nor filing of false cases, this is the work of N-League. We fully support those whom we join, host of difficulties had cropped up in the alliance of both parties but these were overcome and resolved by sitting together, we worked very hard to end 40 years long opposition, he added. He said that President Zardari desired that this alliance should be further extended as he (Zardari) knows the art of carrying friends along whereas Nawaz Sharif lacks this art of taking friends along.
He appealed to all friends and colleagues that according to the party decision, they should fully support Qamaruzzaman Kaira, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and Chaudhry Ejaz Ahmad of Ranian. On this, all present raised their hands and announced to support them. The PML senior central leader further said that we have family relations with Kaira family, which is older than the Peoples and N-League coming into existence, time has come to restore and strengthen old relations.
Qamaruzzaman expressed heartfelt gratitude to Parvez Elahi and Wajahat Hussain and said that alliance of PMLQ and PPP will benefit the entire country. Democracy has flourished in Pakistan because of ending hatred among the political parties, Chaudhry Brothers have a big hand in ending politics of hatred, because of their support PPP has completed its 5 years otherwise N-League wanted that the People's Party Government should not complete its five years, he said. He said that N-League has promoted politics of hatred, it will be isolated, it will not get any seat in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pukhtunkhwah and in Punjab it will be defeated by PMLQ and PPP jointly.
