National hockey team will participate in the 9th Men's Asia Cup Hockey Tournament kicks off from August 24 to September 1 in Ipoh, Malaysia. A press release issued by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday said that with the approval of International Hockey Federation (FIH), the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has released two pools of the event.
Pool A consists of Pakistan, Malaysia, Japan and Chinese-Taipei, while pool B is comprised of Korea, India, Oman and Bangladesh. Schedule of the matches will be released later on after the approval of the FIH. Pakistan and Korea won the title three times each, while India became winner for two times. Korea clinched the 8th Asia Cup, while Pakistan remained runners-up.
