Fault at Pipri Pumping Station: water supply to certain city areas affected

Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) has said that due to a cable fault at KW&SB's Pipri Pumping Station, electric supply remained disconnected for two days affecting supply to DHA, Landhi, Korangi, Malir, Manzoor Colony, Akhtar Colony, Kashmir Colony, Qayumabad, Shah Faisal, Karsaz and adjoining areas.
However, KESC is providing electricity through alternate cables, which is not sufficient to pump the quota. KW&SB is also supplying water through alternate sources.
Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) has appealed to the residents of these areas to use water with caution. Supply would be back to normal as soon as the electricity supply is back to normal.
