Pakistan's name is gracefully linked to a prestigious award in higher education as the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has earned the Best Internal Quality Assurance Award from the Asian Pacific Quality Network in Taiwan. The Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) serves the needs of quality assurance agencies in higher education in a region that contains over half the world's population.
The network comprises institutions and external quality assurance agencies and accreditation bodies from India, China, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Pakistan. National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), which received on behalf of IoBM the best "Internal QA Award" at the APQN Conference 2013 at Taipei, Taiwan said, "Indeed it is an honour for Pakistan". Dr Jagnnath Patil, President of APQN complimented IoBM and felicitated Pakistan for this award. Dr Farooq R Laghari, Chairman HEC commented on it as "a well deserved award and recognition of IoBM".
Earlier EDUNIVERSAL, Paris, France a world acknowledged name in business school and university ranking world-wide, had honoured IoBM with top rankings in several programmes, including marketing, management, supply chain management, health and hospital management and its MBA advertising and media management programme which has been rated 3rd out of 200 in Central Asia. The students of this programme, amid the guidance of their faculty advisor, organised a unique event recently titled: "Ambassadors of Goodwill" inviting over 20 Pakistanis who have excelled abroad and projected the positive image of Pakistan in foreign lands, including those from medicine, health, education, business, arts, sports, culture, media, travel, film and photography etc.
