Four persons including security personnel were killed and four others injured when a woman suicide bomber exploded herself in front of Agency Headquarters Hospital, Khar. According to Assistant Political Agent Bajaur, Asad Sarwar, the suicide bomber was a Burqa-clad woman, who attacked the main entrance of the hospital resulting in the killing of four persons including security personnel while four others were injured.
The injured and bodies of the victims of explosion were rushed to hospital where emergency has already been declared. A search operation in the surrounding areas was also in progress. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Shaukatullah, who also hails from the area, has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack nearby to the Agency headquarter Hospital in Bajaur Agency on Saturday and expressed his deep shock and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
The Governor soon after listening to the tragic news contacted the Political Agent of the agency and directed him to ensure immediate rescue services to the affected people and make best ever available treatment facilities possible to the injured. The elements involved in the heinous crime, the Governor said, did not have any concern to the cultural norms and religious values who could never escape from the course of justice.
Expressing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved families, the Governor further stated that the entire nations stood with them in that hour of grief and he himself would also take every possible step to ease their agonies. He has also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and courage to the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with patience. The Governor has also wished early recovery of the injured.
