TOKYO: Japan's biggest oil and gas explorer, Inpex Corp, says to begin preliminary front end engineering design (Pre-FEED) for the Abadi onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, situated in the Masela block in Indonesia.
Pre-FEED is to be conducted for an annual LNG processing capacity of 9.5 million tonnes and a local gas supply via pipeline, Inpex says.
The Masela block, located in the Timor Sea near Indonesia's border with northern Australia, is 65 percent owned by Inpex and 35 percent by Royal Dutch Shell.
