BUCHAREST: Romanian debt managers aim to sell leu currency bills and bonds worth 3.82 billion lei ($1.01 billion) in April, including 420 million lei at non-competitive rounds of auctions, the finance ministry said on Friday.
In March, the ministry sold debt worth 3.75 billion lei, with upward pressure on yields as the central bank began tightening its benchmark interest rate at the start of the year.
In April, the ministry has scheduled six bond tenders, lower than March's eight, with residual maturities ranging from 2.5 to 10.5 years, and one auction worth 600 million lei for one-year treasury bills.
