Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) in collaboration with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) disconnected power supply to 70 more defaulters including industrial, commercial and domestic consumers in Peshawar, Khyber and Bannu areas on non-payment of Rs 30 million.
According to a spokesman of the power distribution company the defaulters have been identified as Indus Marbles Peshawar, Jan Afzal Batta Khasht Gharibabad, Mushtaq Ahmad Pandu Payan, Khalilur Rehman Batta Khasht, Sher Batta Kashat Surizai, Ghalib Khan Batta Khasht Surizai, Multan Batta Khast, Mutabar Khan Batta Khast, Sajid Khan Shabqadar Bazar, Yar Muhammad Shabqadar Bazar, Dari Khan Shabqadar, Irshad Khan Shabqadar Bazar, Faqir Gul Shabqadar Bazar, Dad Khan Shabqadar, Arab Gul Shabqadar, Ahmad Shah Shabqadar, Karimur Rehamn Suker Doiaba, Bahadar Khan Suker Doaba, Rasool Khan Suker Doaba, Gul Zamir Suker Doaba, Shafiq Suker Daoba, Noshad Mero Kali Shabqadar, Ali Shah Mero Kali Shabqadar, Khan Mir Shabqadar Bazar, Murad Ali Shabqadar, Azad Kaki Khel Noor Shazad Kaki Khel, Noor Shazad Bannu, Umer Khan Bannu, Rashid Khan s/o Haji Ashiq, Muhammad Iqbal s/o Sher Zamin, Irrigation Tube Well, Irrigation Tube Well C/o Said Muhammad, Roadad Khan Fateh Khel Bannu, Mustafa, Azat Khan Batta Khast, Raheel Khan S/o Hadiyatullah Bannu, Abdur Raziq S/o Shah Daraz, Fatehullah Domail, Hakimullah Nizam Bazar Bannu, Ghali Shah Crush Machine Bannu, Anar Gul S/o Sarwar Khan, Rehman Khan S/o Khannan Matta Wala Karak, Rehmat Ali Khan S/o Shad Ali Khan Karak, Taleem Khan S/o Roshan Khan Karak, Qamar Zaman S/o Fateh Khan, Muhammad Ali S/o Rahim Dad Karak, Deldar Khan S/o Ajab Khan Karak, Mani Khan S/o Fazal Muhammad Takhte Nusrati Karak, Ghulam Serwar S/o Mir Sardar Takhte Nusrati Karak, Jalal Deh Bahadar, Tehmas Khan Deh Bahadar.
The company has asked all the defaulters to pay their dues immediately otherwise, they will not only disconnect their premises but NAB will also initiate a stern action against them including arrest, and confiscation of their property also. Meanwhile, rehabilitation and maintenance work at 500KV Sheikh Mohammdi Grid is in full-swing. The grid station as destroyed by miscreants. The power supply to most of the areas fed from Sheikh Mohammad Grid Station was restored by Pesco and NTDC teams with in few hours of the incident through the alternate sources, whereas in some areas additional load shedding is being carried out due to over loading of the power supply system.
NTDC technical teams are busy to carry out the rehabilitation and maintenance work on war footing basis. Keeping in view the public grievances Pesco and NTDC teams are working hard to complete the entire work within the target time or even before it. Teams are working continuously day and night round the clock. But due the heavy devastation it will take some time to complete the job. Pesco/NTDC teams are trying best to complete the rehabilitation work as soon as possible. Keeping the nature of work and difficulties faced during the rehabilitation and maintenance work, Pesco and NTDC have requested public to co-operate in this regard.
