With reference to the news item published in Business Recorder, Karachi dated 19-4-2013 titled "SSGC bills reach Rs 16bn PSM faces gas disconnection" the undersigned has said that the title information is wrongly quoted regarding the outstanding amount of Rs 16 billion of SSGC. He further stated that, the relations are very cordial between the Federal Minister Industries & Production and Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Steel.
This can be seen from the inclusion of CEO-PSM in the committee made for revival & expansion of Pakistan Steel, with the consent of Minister of Industry & Production by the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan. The spokesman further stressed that Secretary Production has never served under Chief Executive Officer-PSM. Therefore the report published by your esteemed daily is based on baseless facts and the sole purpose to publish such report seems to damage and defame the reputation of the National Asset ie Pakistan Steel Mills.
