Talking to a delegation of workers, Sharif said that five hundred houses will be constructed in each one thousand labour colonies across the country in collaboration with public and private sectors to provide modern residential facilities to the workers.
Industrial zones would be established near these housing colonies to provide jobs to the skilled and unskilled labourers, he added. He said his party's economic agenda visualises 3 million new job opportunities for the unemployed educated persons and resources would be provided to the middle class professionals for self employment.
Sharif said the provincial government would be encouraged to develop housing sector that would also promote nearly two dozen other industries connected with the multi-facet construction and building sector. He blamed the Pakistan Peoples Party for the economic difficulties of the masses during its five-year rule though it promised Roti, Kapra and Makan for the poor.
