Ex-MNA Ahmad Raza Manika quits PTI
PAKPATTAN: Member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central committee and district president ex-MNA Mian Ahmad Raza Manika announced at a press conference on Saturday that he had quit his party and joined Pakistan Muslim League-N, along with his colleagues and followers.
He said those quitting the PTI include hundreds of notables of the area, chairmen and vice-chairmen of 10 union councils, dozens of councilors and voters and supporters of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
His brother, Mian Farooq Manika, Jashan Fareed Group chairman Mian Ali Imran Hotiana, Allah Bakhash Tariq and others were present at the press conference.
Mian Ahmad Raza said: "My family is in politics for at least 100 years. My father Mian Ghulam Muhammad Manika remained chairman of District Council Sahiwal, Punjab minister and federal minister. My uncle Mian Nazar Fareed Manika and cousin Gohar Fareed Manika remained chairman TMA Pakpattan."
He said that the PTI main leadership was least bothered about the local leadership's problems. "Even on the death of my mother, no party leader offered any condolences to me, and no party leader visited my home," he complained.
