The Baloch-istan police on Thursday arrested former President and army chief and chief of All Pakistan Mus-lim League (APML), General Pervez Musharraf in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case. Musharraf's arrest came after Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) Rawalpindi accepted a request of Balochistan police for the inclusion of Musharraf in the investigation of Akbar Bugti murder case.
The ATC Judge, Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman while hearing a petition filed by Balochistan police accepted the application and allowed police to interrogate Musharraf. In this connection, a three-member team of Balochistan police headed by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sardar Majeed Durrani interrogated Musharraf at his farmhouse in Chak Shahzad. His interrogation lasted for four hours after which the three member team left the sub-jail. Musharraf has also been arrested in the judge's confinement case and the Benazir Bhutto murder case.
