Google celebrates April Fools’ Day with a new game and it’s not easy
Google made users nostalgic by introducing the classic ‘Where’s Waldo?’ to Google Maps and it is surely keeping the users hooked for hours to the app.
The game was launched yesterday on April Fools’ Day and will continue for the entire week on Android, iOS and desktop. As the user opens Google Maps’ app, the fictional character ‘Waldo’ from the famous classic book series ‘Where’s Waldo?’ (also known as ‘Where’s Willy?’) pops up waving at the user in his signature red and white strips.
Waldo and his friends just left Google in California for an awesome adventure.
Can you spot them with Google Maps?
When you find him, don’t forget to let us know with #WaldoMaps! https://t.co/jIFTOOgrUm pic.twitter.com/bparGZOWw4— Google Maps (@googlemaps) March 31, 2018
To play the game, the user would have to tap on him and an option will be seen to start the game. As soon as the user will start it, the map will take them to different places across the world including Spain, South Korea among many others. When clicked on the first place, a crowded scene will be displayed and the task will be to find Waldo. Once the user has found Waldo and the level has successfully been completed, they will be transported to another place around the world with a rise in difficulty with every new level.
Google Maps celebrates Mario Day today, turns navigation arrow to Mario
The game is definitely not easy, every level becomes more and more crowded with Waldo camouflaged in it making it even more difficult to find him. Apart from Waldo, the other characters from the book including Wenda, Woof, Wizard, Whitebeard and Odlaw could also be seen in the crowded places, write Forbes.
Less than a month ago on March 10, Google Maps introduced the renowned fictional character Mario, as a sign of celebrating Mario’s Day observed on March 10. The users were then able to replace their usual navigation arrow with Mario in his signature red kart, moving along the route.
Users even took to social media site Twitter expressing their views on the new game.
