The Foreign Office has issued a travel advisory to Pakistani citizens travelling to various parts of India stating that they should exercise due caution and care as reports in Indian media indicate a threat to their safety and security. The Foreign Office said Pakistani visitors to India, including 600 pilgrims scheduled to visit Ajmer Sharif for the annual Urs in May, may be in jeopardy.
Meanwhile, the Government of Pakistan said they will call upon the government of India to ensure necessary arrangements are in place to provide Pakistani visitors in India with full protection.
