Unknown assailants targeted the election convoy of Amir Aziz Kurd, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate for NA-267, in Balochistan's Jhal Magsi region on Wednesday. Kurd was travelling in Jhal Magsi when gunmen opened fire on his convoy near Gandawah, leaving four party workers severely injured.
The wounded workers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. Following the incident, police cordoned off the site of the attack and started a search operation to apprehend the assailants. No arrests had been made until the filing of this report. Earlier on Tuesday, five persons were killed during exchange of fire between two tribal groups in Jhal Magsi according to Levies sources.
