i2c, Inc, a Silicon Valley-based provider of cloud payment processing and emerging commerce solutions, on Tuesday announced that it has processed more than $1 billion in payments on cards issued by partner banks in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region over the past year, making it one of the leading payment processors in that region.
Engineered from inception as a single global platform for payments and emerging commerce, the i2c platform provides card-based, virtual and mobile payments, loyalty and back office solutions to financial institutions and brands world-wide. "We started focusing on LAC just over two years ago and our $1 billion milestone is evidence of the momentum our global platform has gained," said Miguel Cintron, vice president, business development, at i2c.
"Increasingly, companies are seeing the advantages of i2c platform engineering and innovation, including faster time-to-market, direct program control and better product differentiation," said Amir Wain, chief executive officer, of i2c. "While our platform provides unrivalled flexibility to meet the rapidly changing demands of consumers, I feel we are more than just great technology. We partner with our customers to provide best practices and expert business advisory services, as well as a host of specialised operational services that make our clients more successful. Client partnership is the core of our business approach and I think this is helping to drive our success in LAC and across the globe," said Wain.
In addition to supporting virtually any type of prepaid, debit, credit or mobile wallet program, the i2c platform includes comprehensive loyalty and customer engagement features that add value and relevance to the customer experience. i2c's recently announced partnership with Aerocash will leverage these capabilities to help financial institutions and retailers throughout Latin America attract and retain profitable customers. In addition to loyalty and marketing solutions, the i2c platform also provides back office solutions including billing, settlement, reconciliation, sales channel management and contract management.-PR
