Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday expressed concern over failure of "Electronic Slip" system of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). In a letter written to the ECP, the PML-N said there were reports that since start of voting on Saturday "Electronic Slip" system stands crashed and on a number of places, presiding officers halted the election process.
The PML-N spokesman said election staff insisted "Electronic Slip" which caused hardship to the voters. It may be recalled that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) registered all Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) holders as voters and allocated polling stations based on their permanent address instead of their present address.
