Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Tuesday reiterated that the next phase of transfer of power would be completed without any delay. Talking with Information Minister Arif Nizami, who called on him in Islamabad‚ the interim Prime Minister said the government believed in the freedom of media and appreciated its role.
Arif Nizami informed the Prime Minister that a large number of foreign media persons and observers had been facilitated and given free access to the conduct of elections. Meanwhile‚ Interior Minister Malik Muhammad Habib Khan called on the Prime Minister and briefed him about the domestic law and order situation. He also briefed the Prime Minister about security arrangements made by his Ministry in co-ordination with the provincial authorities‚ security and intelligence agencies to provide a conducive environment for the holding free, fair and transparent elections.
