Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) has accepted the offer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to join the federal government and opposition benches in Sindh Assembly. Addressing a press conference, PML-F MPA-elect Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, who is Secretary General of PML-F Sindh chapter, said that PPPP candidates rigged elections in eight NA and 27 Sindh Assembly constituencies. He added that his party had collected evidences of the rigging by PPPP.
The PML-F gave call for a strike on May 16 against the alleged rigging by the Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) in the general elections. He demanded of the ECP thumb impression of voters in eight constituencies s of NA and 27 constituencies of PS should be checked and verified by the NADRA.
Imtiaz appealed the businessmen and transporters of Sindh to support the PML-F's strike call against the rigging by PPPP and close their businesses on May 16. Ghous Bux Mehar, Marvi Rashdi, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and others were also present in the press conference. Earlier, on the directives of Mian Nawaz Sharif, PML-N's leader Senator Jaffar Iqbal, Liaqat Jatoi and Rana Mashood met Pir Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi alias Pir Pagara, Chief of PML-F, at Raja House.
The PML-N leaders delivered the message of Nawaz Sharif to Pir Pagara. Nawaz invited PML-F to join PML-N in federal government and opposition benches in Sindh Assembly which was accepted by Pir Pagara. It was decided that Imtiaz Shaikh would meet Shahbaz Sharif on May 16 in Lahore. Pir Pagara will also meet Nawaz Sharif in Lahore as well. During the meeting both the leaders discussed the alleged rigging by PPPP in Sindh. They alleged that Governor and Chief Minister were directly involved in the rigging.
During the meeting, PML-N leaders supported the strike call by PML-F for May 16 against the rigging in Sindh. Talking to media, Senator Jafar Iqbal said that PML-N delegation came to Sindh on the directives of Mian Nawaz Sharif. He said that after meeting Pir Pagara they would also meet Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and other allies and would discuss the future strategy.
