MULTAN: Commissioner Multan Bilal Ahmed Butt said that arrangements would be made at wheat procurement centres to provide maximum relief to farmers during wheat procurement process across the division.
Addressing a meeting through video link to review arrangements for wheat procurement here on Tuesday, Bilal Ahmed Butt said that lists would be displayed at all centres and objections would be removed to ensure wheat procurement transparently. He said that clean drinking water, chairs and other facilities would be ensured at all centres.
He said that different committees would be formed to monitor wheat procurement after announcement of procurement policy. Bilal directed deputy commissioners to ensure monitoring of procurement process in their respective districts.
Butt further maintained that every grain of wheat would be purchased from farmers. He asked deputy commissioners to install cameras at the centres to ensure proper monitoring of wheat procurement process.
Additional Commissioner Sarfraz Ahmed, Assistant Commissioners Masood Bukhari, Rana Ikhlaq Ahmed, Deputy Director Food Haq Nawaz Chohan, Assistant Director Food Muhammad Ejaz and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
