Chief Minister Sindh Zahid Qurban Alavi called on Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the Prime Minister's House here on Friday. The Chief Minister Sindh briefed him about the arrangements made by the provincial government to maintain law and order during the election process.
Appreciating the efforts made by the provincial government for holding of free, fair and peaceful elections in the province, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan achieved a huge democratic milestone through these elections. He observed that the massive turnout in the elections was a testimony that the caretaker government was successful in instilling confidence among the people of Pakistan. Mir Hazar Khan Khoso said these elections also demonstrated that overwhelming majority of Pakistanis believed in participatory form of government. He also appreciated the role of the law enforcement agencies and all those associated with them for their efforts for the holding of general elections in the country.
