Sindh Chief Secretary, Mohammad Ijaz Chaudhry and IG Police, Shahid Nadeem Baloch visited and reviewed the polling arrangements in constituency NA- 250 here on Sunday afternoon.
Also accompanied by Karachi Commissioner, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui and Additional IG Iqbal Mahmood the team went around number of polling stations located at Club Road, Sharea Faisal, Abdullah Haroon Road, Fatima Jinnah Road, Clifton, Gizri, DHA, Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road, Boat Basin, Mai Kolachi Road, Sultanabad, Hijrat Colony, Teen Talwar, Pakistan Chowk, Gari Khata, Qayyumabad, Railway Colony and Aram Bagh.
The Sindh Chief Secretary enquired the voters about their views regarding arrangements made for re-polling and also issued on the spot directives for urgently needed interventions.
In this context the Chief Secretary ordered immediate display of voters' list at main gates of all polling stations enabling voters to verify their names and conveniently cast their votes.
Chief Secretary and the officials accompanying him also had surprise encounter with the team of European Union Election Observation Mission (EUEOM), led by Mariana Skopa (a legal analyst). The EUEOM team appreciated arrangements made for the re-polling in Karachi.
