Pakistan's one-day international against Scotland was washed out on Sunday due to a waterlogged playing surface in Edinburgh. The match was due to start at 0945GMT but heavy rain in the Scottish capital in the preceding 24 hours had left the outfield sodden.
Match officials Mark Hawthorn and Ian Ramage ordered five pitch inspections, while Grange ground staff were given until almost 1400GMT to address the problem but it was eventually decided the pitch was in no condition for play.
"It's really disappointing. We hung about for quite a while today hoping to get even a T20 match in but it wasn't to be," Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer said. Pakistan, who won the first one-day clash with Scotland on Friday by 96 runs, were using the double header and another two matches in Ireland next week as preparation for the Champions Trophy, which begins in England on June 6.
