President Asif Ali Zardari has finally telephoned the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and felicitated him over the success of the PML-N in the general elections. Nawaz expressed his gratitude to President Zardari for his good wishes, it is learnt. However, the sources claimed that Nawaz told Zardari that he (Zardari) took much time in felicitating him. President Zardari who was in Lahore had meetings with the PPPP leaders and discussed post-election scenario, sources said.
It may be noted that PM-in-waiting Nawaz Sharif is visiting presidency on Wednesday (May 22) to attend a banquet President Asif Ali Zardari is hosting in honour of visiting Chinese Prime Minister. During this visit to presidency, Nawaz is expected to hold an informal meeting with President Zardari.
